Setu Initiatives is a bridge—connecting education with health, research with practice, and communities with systems—to ensure that no child is left behind.
Setu Initiatives is a not-for-profit trust founded by senior professionals across education, health, research, and technology. Our name—Setu, meaning "bridge"—reflects our core purpose: to link disciplines, sectors, and people who might otherwise remain in silos.
We co-design sustainable solutions with schools, communities, and governments. Our approach is collaborative, data-informed, and grounded in field realities, with one aim: improving outcomes for children, youth, and women in India's most underserved regions.
A just and inclusive world where every child and community has access to quality education, health, and opportunity—no matter where they are born.
To strengthen systems and empower communities through research, capacity building, and field-based innovations at the intersection of education and health.
We equip educators, NGOs, and community leaders with tools and training to respond to diverse learning and health needs—building capabilities that last at the individual, institutional, and system levels.
We pilot and support grassroots programs that integrate learning with wellbeing. From community learning spaces to arts-based modules, we design interventions that children love and communities sustain.
Our participatory research connects evidence with action, shaping better policy and practice. Initial focus areas include science and mathematics education, nutrition, and child mental health.
We uphold ethics and transparency in every partnership.
We amplify marginalized voices and prioritize inclusion.
Solutions are co-created—with communities, not for them.
We are learners first, adapting and growing with the field.
Every initiative is designed to be scalable and locally owned.
Setu is guided by an esteemed board of educators, healthcare professionals, researchers, and community leaders with decades of experience across India.
